@NightOfTheLiving8bit And your 'elite controlling what we do' has got to be some of the biggest amount of garbage I've ever read. You have NO clue how our system truly works. We are in control of our fate, our healthcare decisions, etc. We don't wait to see if our insurance will cover a procedure, as it ALWAYS is. We don't wait to see how much our co-insurance will cost after a hospital stay, as its always the same NOTHING!And private insurance companies invest NOTHING in healthcare.
MadHabber93 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@NightOfTheLiving8bit And you do spend more per capita on healthcare than any other country BECAUSE its over 60% private. Private is more expensive, less efficient with high admin costs. Not to mention, you pay the most, yet don't even come close to covering everyone. And that's a good system you think??? Wow
MadHabber93 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@NightOfTheLiving8bit And 30% of our system is privately paid, but that does not mean by private companies. That can mean by private insurance paid for through individual premiums for drugs or dental NOT hosptial or doctor care. Or paid privately directly by the consumer. Its not paid by private companies. Cripe, you don't even know how our system works. Then you say 'limited' healthcare. Our hospital, doctor bills are 100% covered. No ceilings, no copays, no deductibles.

@NightOfTheLiving8bit You say we depend on the U.S. for military support? When?? Name me one time in our history where the U.S. came to our defence. Like we did in Afghanistan for you guys, or during 9/11 when we accepted all those planes full of Americans to land on our soil. That's typical American bravado bullshit. Our military is still ranked 14th in the world in total spending. Please educate yourself.

@NightOfTheLiving8bit You can go on forever?? You just did. The reforms I speak of took place in the 90's by the Liberals, I mean budge reforms, not the making of our healthcare system. You say because of America, please. You don't think people haven't made it in Canada?? Get off your ignorant high horse. The middle class is America is shrinking. The have nots are increasing, and will continue to. The middle class in America is becoming less able to pay for healthcare.
NightOfTheLiving8bit (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@madhabber93 Why? Because they were smart, responsible and did not wait until the last minute to do something about their situation. They took control of their health, regardless of income. They found a way to make it work, because that is what Americans do.Not this social disease that is coming along thanks to the media called, CLASS WARFARE.Created by the elite that you hate, they are controlling people like you, to be against people who are actually aware like me.Wake up.
NightOfTheLiving8bit (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@madhabber93 In return their investments give them kickbacks that you'll never hear about, your system is corrupt as well and is not fully controlled by the people, what so ever. That is why you have not been taxed so highly, unlike Canada, the USA has no magical saviors as WE control our own fate and to everyone else asking for a hand out, my grandparents are unemployed, in their 60's, receive only a social security check and DON'T have medicaid but still receive health care.
NightOfTheLiving8bit (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@madhabber93 While along they had cut major things from their budget, they have no REAL military and they depend on America heavily for military support.Your beloved health care is also paid for (30-40% of the total) by private companies, not you, the people. Why? Because with only 30 million versus 300+ million, along with next to NO finical burden compared to America, private companies are able to invest money into the system that allows you to receive free, but limited, health care.
NightOfTheLiving8bit (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@madhabber93 I learned from my mistakes and built myself a life, without complaining to everyone and asking for a hand out, I built my own future from my blood, sweat and tears and it is becoming harder and harder as the government grows and imposes more and more rules on companies and retains more and more control.Lastly, the reform in Canada happened in the 60-70's, not 15 years ago.
NightOfTheLiving8bit (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@madhabber93 I could go on for FOREVER, why it's a bad idea, why you are wrong and what not but it's like talking to a wall. You are talking to a Canadian who has been in school for almost 8 years dealing with social and scientific politics along with economics. I have been on both sides of the fence, rich and poor, sick and uninsured and homeless while wearing rags to riches while driving jags.Because of America, I have been able to get where I am today.
