Do Libertarians know what they stand for? Is it prosperity? Or is it conducting yourself in a way that doesn't injure others? Because when people are left to their own devices they screw the weak every time. From slavery to sweat shops to child labor to unrecompensed industrial injury the history of unregulated business includes massive injury to our fellow man. That wrestler must have slapped the last lick of common sense out of Stossel's head.

"How does this mean the creation of the state? It is the bland opposite." you got to be kidding as "corporations" are the creation of the state. "economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made" the economic system is creation of the state. capitalism byproduct is the state. orionsarm(dot)com/fm_store/Anarcho-Capitalism%20Dissolves%20into%20City%20States.htmAnarchy is the oppostite of capitalism
Gurimbom (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Who provided this definition? It runs completely contradictory to what capitalism actually is."Capitalism is an economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations, as contrasted to state-owned means of wealth."How does this mean the creation of the state? It is the bland opposite.

"Capitalism is by definition contradictory with imperialism and colonialization. These acts are not 'capitalist' in any sense." That could be put same case with "totalitarian Marxist" which is an oxymoron. Capitalism needs to feed itself it will find someone else to exploit. Even still most africa is ruins since end of colonization.

"Anarcho-capitalism is an oxymoron" Capitalism is the creation of the state therefore it is an oxymoron excluding a pre-industrial barter economy. |
