Rush Limbaugh's empire is about to crumble. Arbitron is moving to a ratings model based on internet streaming, i.e., iTunes, Pandora. This is crowd is largely liberal twentysomething's that do NOT listen to or have interest in Limbaugh's brand of vintage radio. His sponsors will move to where the ratings are. Rush could attempt to get his base over to the internet but in rural areas, that might be difficult.

He uese a lot of sarcasm & is interesting to listen to on the way to work.If you read thru the rhetoric, he's talking about personal responsibility. He's an ignorant ass a lot of the time, agreed. But, he does make some good points. And this clip is accusing him of racism and that much he is not.

@LordSauceness By the way- I have never considered the housing crisis to be a racial issue. There were many black people who wound up with loans they couldn't afford, but so too, were there many white people and every other race in the same situation. Some just attempt to apply a black face to the issue. In it's own way, that is racist on the part of people who want to make it all about black people.

@emmettk I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but the banks collapsed because people couldn't make their payments. Excuse me, but I don't EVER buy anything I can't afford, yet what Rush is talking about is true. People were given homes that should never have owned them. People should have to financially qualify to be able to purchase. Not just let them get one because they're black, poor, whatever. How's that racist?Personal responsibility? Hello? Anyone listening?

This goes to the core of the problem with Rush. Lot's of people believe he's being factual so they accept his theories without question as "truth". What they do is play into the prejudices of people who choose to be racist. They are ready to believe anything that supports their racism whether it's true or not. Rush is intelligent enough to know he has lots of fans like that and he's well aware of the influence he wields. __That's why his demagoguery is dangerous.

@LordSauceness Do you truly believe that his assertions regarding ACORN being some far-reaching conspiracy to brainwash young black children across America and that Obama, among others was "up to his big ears in it"?__ Do you honestly think even HE believes his own bluster? Or do you realize he's playing to an element ready and willing to believe that sort of suggestion. You appear to be too intelligent to believe this "hypothesis" is anything more than Limbaugh exercising his undue influence.

I failed to hear any racism in what Rush was saying. A 'racist' is one who thinks his particular race is superior to all others.The point Rush was making, is that the gov't created an enviroment for people that had no business owning a home, to own a home!Now the country fell apart because , duh, them same people couldn't make the payments! lmao!..and now this is 'racism'? Fuck me!... What ever happened to ''personal responsibility'?Nope, let's just call whitey a racist!
