I agree with that too an extent. Sterotypes are rarely healthy for an inteligent debate. But they are sterotypes for a reason, and as a sort of introduction too what the republican supporters are it might be casually enlightening. The widespread use of such stereotypes also tells a thing or too about the level of the debate going on, which is helpful in making a quick conclusion if it's realy worth it to acctually involve oneself in a debate with the people argueing these sterotypes.

I agree, but I was highlighting the illogic of the broad brush kinds of statements. "Republicans are just a bunch of fat cats who don't care about the poor!" and "Republicans are just a bunch of low life trailer park hillbillies!" There are also tons of Republicans who are upper or lower middle class. The stereotyping needs to be toned down.

Both, acctually. There are fiscal conservatives and then there's social conservatives. ANd when you effectivly have two part system those tend too get mixed.
