My point was, I think, that if you agree with Ron Paul then you can not be for isolationism. You do not have to be the life guard of the world to be an isolationist necessarily. Ron Paul does not want to shut the US away from the world, he just wants to stop the interventions in another nation's business. He still wants to be friends with nations, and to be diplomatic as a means to preserving that.
