Even though a few Muslims hide behind the Koran while they slaughter innocent people, Islam actually preaches peace and tolerance; the terrorists took the teachings of Islam WAY out of context. "The Koran said so." Oh really? Do you know of a passage in the Koran that "said so" or did you just buy into what some prejudiced idiot had to say?

@LoneLawMan Actually, the terrorists who were in the hijacked aircraft were not the only Muslims who died on 9/11. New York City's Muslim population is well over half a million, so assuming that the workplace diversity within the Twin Towers was reflective to NYC's ethnic and religous demographics, then I can only conclude that a sizable portion of the victims had to consist of Muslims.

@ianc20435 Does that explain while they were going to name it the "Cordoba center?" It is a victory Mosque. Don't be naive.  Of course there are Muslims that don't condone 9/11, but those insensitive towards the 9/11 families are not that type of Muslim.

@thomas242007 Don't let a group of people who are publicly cheering because of a tragedy cloud your thought; just as there were people cheering, there were also Muslims who were angry with the Jihadists. Unfortunately, the pro 9/11 Muslims happened to stand out more. The "victory monument" is nothing more than a community center because there were Muslims who died in the WTC, along side Christians and Jews. It wouldn't make much sense to celebrate the killing of their own people, would it?

@ianc20435 then why in iraq was everybody cheering from the rooftops, in the streets throwing parties when the attacks took place the muslim community might not have had anything to do with it but they didnt exactly condem the act either . then why dont they just the mosque location, and alll the problems will go away why are they so intent on building it there? because it is a victory monument simple as that and most of us know it
