Well, i fell right on the corner of centrism between liberal and libertarian. Which actually sounds about right, while i dislike some regulation of business i also see that people need safeties to protect them from corporations, who unlike actual people, have no conscience. i also am a big supporter if individual liberty. i also like that it said i "emphasize... practical solutions" which is absolutely true of me.

@Delision To my understanding, and way oversimplifying things, the Left Libertarian would be the anti-government hippie, the Left Statist would be the communist, the Right Libertarian would be the anti-government militiaman, and the Right Statist would be the fascist. Again, this is oversimplification, and using extreme examples.

thier is no such thing as a libatarian on the right, as john stweart mill said teh conservative party is the stupid party

@Delision That's what the word "liberal" refers to in the US: personal freedom and economic socialism. That's not what it means in other countries, or how it was used in the US before the 20th Century.

Interesting how he mentioned "straw man". He knows about fallacies and therefore sounds more educated.
Delision (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
i'm still confused by the nolan chart, i mean it looks to me that the liberal side is high on the "personal issues" axis not the "economic issues" axis because it's next to the 100 on that side. i don't get it.
