The fact is until smoking is outlawed, smokers have a right now to be set upon with abusive taxes simply because they can't fight back. A pack of cigs cost $6 in RI....80% of that is taxes. Then the govt has the unmitigated GALL to accuse big tobacco of profiting on the misery of others? This bullshit of smokers COASTING taxpayers money is utter horsehit. If we were to stop smoking many social programs would go belly up.

I despise Limbaugh but he hits the nail here. Boutique cigar makers will be put out of business by a 20,000% (!) increase. Smokers pay MORE than their fair share of taxes. where is the fucking settlement money? Where is the excessive state and federal taxes going now? If the liberals are so concerned with social issues they should know that mass lay-offs will occur in Dominica, Nicaruagua and Honduras should it pass.
