I was there in 69 to see him at Woodstock. I was 17 and have to admit that I had never heard of him then . But I never have forgotten him since.

At the rime it was really just another concert of sorts. Most of us were either going back to school, or starting college. Manyof the young men you see in the film will eventually go off to war-Viet Nam. It was just a brief moment to relax from all the horror-the 60's weren't all fun and games-real life decisions were being made, or about to be made, by men who were still teenagers. But coming of age at 16, or 18, was, in America, at that time, par for the course.
