The only thing cheap here is trying to put a monetary value on people. If the government would get out of regulating the private sector it would grow and then able to pay more to employees! Socialism tries to keep everybody equal which really ends up everybody broke! When you have no wealthy to create jobs and all are poor you really then all become cheap bastards! The the guy calling is a idiot. Look at it from a business perspective. 1000s of employees 2*1000 extra $2000 an hour(for all). at $7.15 (work for 39 hours)you would get 278.85. with $2 raise then you get $356.85 a week. If you work 45 weeks thats $12548.25 at $7.15. At an extra $2 thats $16058.25 a year for 1 person(thats an extra3510). Times that for 1000 employees at $7.15(12548250) at an extra $2(16058250) thats an extra $3510000 an year. Business can use that to invest or pay bills.

Mike from Troy even says nobody calls on the minimum wage jobs! Well... they're there! The poster of such an ad is looking to hire! What happend if they don't hire the work force they require? Think about it. Yes, they'll have to offer more money for the job! "Minimum wage" has an attached stigma which defers people from wanting to work for the smallest allowable wage!(as Mike pointed out) And as Rush clarified for the listeners, this is because people desire to feel a greater self-worth!
