The effects of the disease WERE on display. They stacked emotions against Talent. They also shielded Fox and McCaskill from criticism. Not only that, he used his name and his position to influence the outcome of an election. That, in itself, was not wrong. But the manner in which he did it WAS wrong. First, he mischaracteized the issue. And second, he impugned the characters of Jim Talent and anyone who shared his values. So Rush's words were not an unprovoked attack on an innocent guy.

Embryonic stem cell research is losing out on funding simply because it has failed to impress investors.
