In light of independent candidate for president Ralph Nader's recent comments on Barack Obama and white guilt, SA thought it might be worth noting exactly how much more conservative the consumer advocate is than his Republican contemporaries.

The thing is that actual socialist often have common values with conservatives: For instance, the Soviet Union up until Gorbachov consistently held low debt/ balanced budgets, was against pornography and illicit substance consumption, promoted the nuclear family (through education, propaganda, & economic incentives such as low housing rent, free kindergardens, etc.)In fact socialism can be seen as a reaction to liberalism historically; Together with fascism and conservatism

I am a libertarian conservative, but Ralph Nader has integrity, and I love him.

Also, you should consider that the same things Nader says about immigration were said by Ceasar Chavez. He favored restricting immigration also, because of the propensity for to be used for Union Busting.

Please show one scrap of evidence that Nader's view on Immigration is conservative? Open borders is actually a Wall St. shill. Check out the points he raised on: youtu(.)be/gYnQjDlCeXU

yet he is much more conservative than John McCain is the point of the video is - what I took from it anyway - and agree. Nader label's himself a populist since he "represents the majority agenda" of usa citizens in polling figures on his issues individually.........but conditioned to the hilt to vote otherwise.

Not a bad video at all. I would hardly call Nader a conservative though. If you look at his plans for health care and living wage you could call him more of a socialist than anything.

I agree with the points you make in the video. But being anti-corporations doesn't make Ralph Nader a "conservative". There are a lot of fiscal policies in his platforms that aren't conservative and he is a noted union supporters. His social views are also not conservative. That said, being pro-life and pro-gun doesn't make the McCain & co "conservative" in the purest sense either. I think the liberal ----> conservative axis is way too simple and you can't fully categorise someone as such.

What im thinking is, why all the hipocrisy if americans enjoy the extra supplies while at the same time- they dont enjoy the military suppresion of the people the supplies were stolen from... why do americans want to live like kings but are not willing to hear about how their armies trample people as if they were actual kings of the world.
deceiver123m (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
what americans dont see is that the wars are meant to destabalize other countries for the purpose of making them Unites States pseudo colonies... without that extra war booty where would the supplies come from? Europeans and usa are still exploiting southeast asia by using invasion armies that still suppress the people, but i dont hear NOT ONE american complaining about that,
