just because i'm most familiar w/ "hurricane" by dylan, it is very explicitly endorsing rubin carters innocence. he's not simply writing a song about hurricane, he has a specific agenda- that is to release carter from jail. did bobby know the facts? i'm not aware of that. did common know the facts? i'm not aware of the either. and calling bob dylan, springsteen, etc. 'dumbasses', stewart an 'idiot'. you probably know nothing of the common song or its ideology. shutup monsterchief300, shutup

I was curious as to Stewart's claim that Bono should not have been allowed to visit the Bush white house because Bono honored Leonard Peltier in a song. It seemed that Steward had an excellent point, so I did some research. Turns out that Bono visited the White House under Bush in 2002, but the song Vertigo that was inspired by Leonard Peltier was not released until 2004. So, at the time of Bono's visit, he had not written the song. Thus this particular example is mute.

It's no worse than what Stewart does. Stewart hides an irrational ideology behind silly jokes. To some extent, I share Bill and Rusch's Ideology. They're a bit frigid though. I believe in a free market and that Obama's stimulus was one of the dumbest decisions ever made. Some of my ideology is socialist. I believe in pregnancy licenses, which would drastically reduce the amount of idiots produced every year. Regulation is, of course, necessary but only when it's a health issue.

Sometimes I'm floored by the idiocy that spews from O'Reilly. Can anyone really be that closed minded? It's just scary.

i don't think you get the point, all jon stewart is saying is that Bill O reilly should be consistent with his outrage. By not being consistent all it does is demonstrate that Fox News will nitpick at anything the president does and call him radical for no reason.

Jon Stewart is an idiot.. Writing songs about those people vs saying "I like this guy, he is a great role model for me" is totally different. And the president, whoever it is, shouldn't invite dumbasses like that in the white house. You people can't take issue by issue because you either hate o Riley, or love Jon because he makes you giggle inside..
