I have claimed exempt before because I was an out of state student working part-time and I'm still here... But what the above film is stating, is that claiming anything other then exempt is, completely voluntarily. Which is true...

Won't you get in trouble? Doesn't the form list criteria that helps you determine if you're exempt? What happens if you claim exempt and your situation doesn't match all the choices?

you have to claim exempt, when you do that, you keep all of your paycheck...
