Breech the Wall of Separation Between Church and State
In yet another example of the breech of separation between Church and State, over 400 children were taken from their Fundamentalist LDS Church parents on the polygamist ranch in Eldorado, Texas by the Child Protective Services. Department of Public Safety Sgt. Danny Crawford testified of their discovery of a church bishop's records taken from a safe at the ranch that listed about 38 families, some of them polygamous and some that included wives 16 or 17 years old. But under repeated cross-examination, Crawford acknowledged the records contained no evidence of sexual abuse.
FLDS members deny children were abused and say the state is persecuting them for their faith.
Texas District Judge Barbara Walther signed an emergency order nearly two weeks ago giving the state custody of the children after a 16-year-old girl called an abuse hot line claiming her husband, a 50-year-old member of the sect, beat and raped her. The girl has yet to be identified.
So, what is really going on here? There has got to be more to this than what the mainstream media is feeding us. Perhaps they want to set an example that they can do whatever they want as people just stand by and do noting. Perhaps it's just another test of our tolerance of government abuse of our freedom as Americans.
Regadless of whether you agree or disagree with polygamy, for the government to step in and kidnap all those children is beyond ludicrous. No investigation was done…they simply came in and kidnapped them all. Not only that, but the judge ordered that all the women who decided to let themselves be taken into custody in order to stay with thier children now can have no contact with their church and family; he declared that they couldn't have their cell phones & make calls because contact with the members of their family & church 'might influence them'.
Sure, their beliefs are different than what's considered mainstream. And absolutely, if a crime was committed, the guilty party ought to be found & held accountable. If these children have been raped, the person that did it needs to go to prison. If the mothers knew their children were being raped and did nothing to stop it, they need to go to prison too. But to kidnap every child because they – think – something MIGHT have happened… is beyond belief!
If nothing else, it's more evidence of an out-of-control Child Protective Service. Just about everyone who has had a run in with CPS pretty much agrees. All it takes is a nosy neighbor to call them and your world can be turned upside down, even if there is not even an appearance of wrong-doing.
These mothers and fathers are living out most parent's worst nightmare, the kidnapping of their children, without a damn thing they can do about it. If the state can do it to these people, THEY CAN DO IT TO YOU TOO!
Today they come for the children of LDS members. Tomorrow will it be your kids?
