Mike Huckabee: Should You Support Him?
Mike Huckabee is a front-running candidate for the Republican nomination for President in '12. As such I think it's very important that people learn about him and where he stands on the issues. One way to learn about a politician is to read their own words. This way you aren't getting an opinion from someone else, but instead you are forming your own opinion based on their own words.
Below you will find 9 quotes from Mike Huckabee which I am hopeful will allow you to know whether or not you should support him for the White House over Barack Obama and the rest of the Republican 2012 presidential candidates.
1. "The most important thing about global warming is this. Whether humans are responsible for the bulk of climate change is going to be left to the scientists, but it's all of our responsibility to leave this planet in better shape for the future generations than we found it."
2. "Fast and pray and turn this nation back to God, as Jesus is our only hope."
3. "Republicans ought to be leading the way to be better stewards on the environment, and we're not."
4. "I do not support an amendment to the Constitution that would prevent children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens from automatically becoming American citizens. I have no intention of supporting a constitutional amendment to deny birthright citizenship."
5. "I feel homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk."
6. "I do not necessarily buy into the traditional Darwinian theory, personally."
7. "I also support cap and trade of carbon emissions."
8. "I got into politics because I knew government didn't have the real answers, that the real answers lie in accepting Jesus Christ into our lives."
9. “I pray that God will raise up spiritual warriors who will say America will not fall; that we will not let this nation fall to the hands of those who would enslave us.”
